A note from the Producer

I am constantly amazed at the passion of artists. Funding applications fail, key artists move interstate, venue availability changes, time passes – and still the artists forge on, committed to sharing their stories with an audience.

In this special edition of our e-news we bring you more about They ran ‘til they stopped. This brand new show from The Duck House had its share of setbacks. With recent support from PICA and the City of Perth it finally opens next week.

Now it just needs you. Why not buy your tickets through Pozible – Australia’s crowdfunding website? $50 gets you two seats on Friday 11 November. $80 gets you a mystery gift and your name in the program as well!  Although we have almost reached our Pozible target you can still pledge until the campaign closes in 5 days!

So if you can’t attend you can still become a premium seat sponsor for as little as $10 and play your part in supporting new West Australian theatre.

Hope to see you there.

They ran 'til they stopped starts next week at PICA

Featuring: Arielle Gray and Kathryn Osborne Video: Sarah Rowbottam

They ran ‘til they stopped is an unruly tragi-comedy about shaking off tragedy and moving on.

Directed by Kathryn Osborne and written by Gita Bezard, They ran ‘til they stopped is the story of three housemates who wake in the morning under a shadow of loss.

In their silent kitchen they shelter from cornflake rain, throw parties, are unprepared for cabaret and eat romantic dinners for one.

10 - 19 November
Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts
Featuring Lawrence Ashford, Arielle Gray and Whitney Richards

There are only 5 days left to pledge your support for this exciting new show. If you are planning to attend why not buy your tickets to the VIP Crowdfunding night on Fri 11 Nov through Pozible!

Tickets to all shows are available through PICA 9228 6300.

Post-it note frenzy in Perth

Featuring: Lawrence Ashford and Kathryn Osborne Video: Storybottle

Earlier this month we asked 160 people in Perth Cultural Centre to write down a unique quality about their friend on a post-it note and stick it to Lawrence, performer for They ran 'til they stopped.

See what happened on the day by watching the video above or visit our facebook page to read all 160 post-it notes!

Cornflakes on the floor, paint fumes in the air and post-it notes stuck in Whitney's hair - Writer Gita Bezard gives us a snapshot of what week two has been like in the rehearsal room for They ran ’til they stopped.
