October is a busy month with Sue Peacock mapping out the foundations of her new project Reflect and Pinstripe Circus continuing the development of Dreamhouse. Later this month final rehearsals start for two brand new productions we premiere in November – They ran ‘til they stopped from The Duck House and Shiver from Danielle Micich.

So keep reading and I hope I have the chance to talk to you again in November.

Upcoming Performances

They ran ‘til they stopped
Presented by The Duck House and Performing Lines WA in association with PICA

Life often has a wicked sense of humour.

Three housemates wake in the morning under a shadow of loss. In their silent kitchen they shelter from cornflake rain, are unprepared for cabaret and eat romantic dinners for one. With history on their shoulders and voices in their heads, their grief is stale and so is the bread.

Created by local theatre collective The Duck House They ran ‘til they stopped is an unruly performance about shaking off the tragedy and moving on.

Shiver
Directed by Danielle Micich Presented by Performing Lines WA

If you have ever put yourself on the line and felt vulnerable, if you have ever been in love or if you have ever lost someone close to you – these are your stories.

Four strangers find themselves trapped in an unknown place with no exit. Together they dance tango, search for answers and relive past moments when life ran out of control. From the exuberance of young love to the grief of loss, their only hope of moving forward is to face the past.

Directed by Danielle Micich Shiver is an evocative new dance theatre work which takes an honest look at life and loss in all its unpredictable cruelty and beauty.

17 – 19 November 2011
The Dolphin Theatre, The University of Western Australia

Sue Peacock starts new project

Last week choreographer Sue Peacock commenced development on her latest project Reflect.

Reflect plunges us into shadowy psychological terrain, a half- remembered a story that turns around on itself so many times that the distinction between what's real and what's imagined starts to disappear.
